Skill Definition: Theology is a deep understanding of the tenets and hierarchy of the Lunist religion, also known as the Cult of the White Lady. The cult itself is a popular religion in Celestian Petakova, worshiping the figure of the White Lady, who has supposedly appeared to powerful Celestians and is believed to be the true source of magic. Higher levels of theology may also include knowledge of older Earth religions.

Common Uses: It mostly serves as a hobby; Petakovans study theology more intently, but even the believers tend to think about the theology of Lunism in its socio-historical context.

Rule Information

Rule Notes: Theology will probably not be rolled often day-to-day, but PCs with the skill may ask a staffer for a witnessed roll to see what they know about a certain topic, and staffers may ask PCs to roll when theological knowledge is relevant to a plot or scene.
Common Modifiers: Theology is typically rolled at 0, but can be modified for a task. To know the name of the current Hierophant probably doesn't need a roll; to know the general tenets of the religion might be rolled at +2; to be able to recount, in detail, a specific minor vision cited in the Kandora might be rolled at -2.
