If you're looking here for the first time, scavenging about on information on how to get started, chances are you're new to the game. Learning a new game can be a daunting task for anyone--especially those just starting to find their way around MUSHes in general.
This tutorial is designed to help you get started, no matter what your level of experience is. To continue, just choose the step below that looks like it's about where you're comfortable. :)
Step One: What is Roleplaying?
- Explains the basics of generalized roleplaying--but not necessarily how to do so on a MUSH. See "Your First Scene".
Step Two: What is This 'MUSH' Thing?
- Details exactly what a MUSH is, and a provides a couple of useful commands.
Step Three: Connecting and Getting Information
- This step guides you through connecting to the MUSH for the first time, recommends an MU* client if you haven't already got one, and suggests some helpful wiki pages about the game.
Step Four: Creating a Character
- Leads the way through the character generation process.
- An optional step designed to talk you through your first IC encounter on the grid, and all the commands, terminology, and general etiquette you might need along the way.
