What's a Puppet?

A puppet is a device used by staff to monitor activity on the grid. Think of an ear bug, or a security camera, and that's what a puppet is like. After it has been created, the puppet can be left in a room by itself and relay whatever it sees or hears back to its owner. Obviously, the spying capabilities of these puppets makes their use a bit controversial. Hence the reason for this policy - which is, yes, strictly enforced. :-)

Policy

Staff will not use puppets to watch RP - period. Staff members will only enter scenes if asked or if needed to resolve conflicts. If a staff member happens to be sitting in a room where you want to RP, feel free to ask them to leave!

Puppets may only be used to help run a scene. (For example, if the staffer's wizbit is busy elsewhere or a multi-room scene is underway.) They will never be DARK.
