Physical Description
A bird with beautiful red-brown plumage and a nine-foot wingspan as an adult, the phoenix is considered one of Titania's loveliest specimens. Its long, sharp beak is gold-coloured, its eyes yellow as well. It has a long tail of extra features to provide a display.
Phoenixes are known to carry sacs of naturally produced flammable chemicals in their throat, used to prolong the range of their pyromancy into flaming rain. The sacs may spontaneously ignite if their contents are mixed, resulting in exploding carcasses (as injuries to the sacs are usually fatal).
Magical Properties
Phoenixes are strong pyromancers, hence their name; while not immune to their own fire, they do use it as their primary weapon.
Habitat
So far, phoenixes have been spotted both east and west of the city.
Social Behavior
Birds of a feather flock together, and phoenixes are no exception, rarely seen in groups smaller than six. They tend to fly in a straight line when utilizing their pyromancy, able to blanket whatever's below them with a single continuous rain of fire.
Their natural behavior in the wild has never been studied, as so far they have only been seen during combat situations.
Combat
Phoenixes rely very heavily on their powerful pyromancy, either targeting individuals with fireballs that seem to be 'coughed up' (but in reality, simply form in front of their beaks) or working together to create a rain of fire.
