Permadeath

Permadeath is a simple concept used by a large percentage of the more RP-focused MU*s, and less in the combat-oriented ones (while this is the general rule, it is not always true). Basically, it is the idea of permanent character death, and it is one Elan Vital adheres to.

When a character dies in the gameworld of Elan Vital (fairly rarely, but from time to time it does happen), that character is dead forever. There are no respawns available for them, and other characters will generally hold a funeral and move on with their lives. While the player is free to create another character or move on to another game, the dead character will never return.
