Morganid
From ElanVital
Little-known fact for PCs with lore skills! Linguists theorize that the original naming of the Morganid is a reference to Morgan le Fay, the fairy half-sister of the fabled King Arthur, or perhaps a mention of the mirage named after her--Fata Morgana.

Physical Description
The sight of a Morganid is a rare one--not because the Morganid itself is rare, but because stumbling upon one that looks like itself is rare. Powerful and disturbingly clever illusionists, they are most often disguised as something else entirely. Thus, most knowledge Titanians possess of Morganids comes from the study of corpses washed up on the beach.
As an adult, the Morganid spans some 5 to 7 feet, with the females being the larger of the species. Its scales can be any variety of colors, but a deep purple-and-red blend tends towards the most common. Powerful jaws meant for the quick and easy dispatch of prey take up a large portion of its flat, bony face, but the eyes are considered by many to be the most disconcerting. Colloquially termed "eyes within eyes", the Morganid has multiple movable pupils within each of its eyes, allowing it to take in a very broad range of vision without ever turning its head. The few seamen who have seen a Morganid report that the pupils are constantly in motion. If the tales are to be believed, watching a Morganid's eyes is hypnotic.
Magical Properties
Like the Carinac Dragon, the Morganid is a master of Illusion--but widely regarded as better at it than its larger cousin. When hunting, the Morganid will disguise itself to appear like another animal--usually a member of the prey's species, allowing it to creep up on unwary stragglers completely unnoticed. In a pinch, it has also been known to create illusory bait, or even make itself invisible for short spans of time.
Habitat
The Morganid is undoubtedly a creature of the sea, and possesses no faculties of movement on land or in air. It prefers warm waters, and as such, is usually found further south than Titania--but in the summertime, packs will sometimes venture nearer the land.
Danger Level
High. Where there is one Morganid, there are usually many, and besides being master manipulators of their prey... they also have a lot of very sharp teeth.
