Coochie'qo
From ElanVital
One of the more deadly beasts to be found under water on Voltumnus. It's hunted for it's pheromones, one of the key ingredients to the most exclusive perfumes. As such, coochie'qo diving was amongst the highest paying and deadliest jobs on the planet and only the richest could afford the end product.

Physical Description
Not quite fish, not quite snake, the coochie'qo is a slim, tubelike creature ranging from from 5 foot at birth to 15 foot - found on a specimen believed to be a rare 30 years of age. It's covered from head to tail end in stringy slime. It has a 1 foot long jaw filled with several rows of long, raiser sharp needle like teeth.
Magical Properties
The coochie'qo is able to deliver a paralizing blow to it's prey via biomancy submitted through it's two main canines.
Habitat
The natural habitat of the coochie'qo is anywhere in water big enough to house them. A single specimen needs at least 2 acres of deep water to thrive and does condone, outside the mating season, no other coochie'qo in his territory. Pre-Fall the coochie'qo had been succesfully extinguished from Titanian land. The beast mates only in the deepest recesses of the water is occupies and little is known about it, though it seems that the male coochie'qo usually doesn't survive. Eggs are later deposited in shallow water, attached to leafs or driftwood and are fiercely protected. It's still unknown how coochie'qo make it to lakes deep inland, since they need the water to breathe.
Danger Level
High. Unless the prey is able to get out of the water, chances of survival are usually slim due to the paralizing biomancy and ensnaring tail. Once out of the water, the beast is still a formidable adversary if one doesn't know how to handle it. Pulling or stabbing it won't help, it only results in the coochi'qo biting down harder. Biomancy has no effect on it either, it is believed it's slime absorbs the magic and instead recharges the beast's own batteries.
The first step in making it release it's prey, and this can only be done when it's still alive, is to have it calm down - which is down by tickling it under it's chin, right between the gills. Next, while continuing to tickle one needs to reach inside one of the gills (or the mouth directly, but few dare to) into a pool of stringy slime, find the tendon and pull. This will open the jaws so the prey can be retrieved.
Who thinks to be out of the woods is mistaken however. If the tendon is broken, a last mechanism is triggered, sometimes called the Revenge Button. From it's tail a balloon-like pocket filled with pheromones is punctured, worked up the length of it's body and regurgitated. This pure yellow, sticky substance will attract any and all coochie'qo in a 2 mile radius. It's dark and musky, overwhelming scent will cling to a person's skin for about three days. The first action to take will be to get as far away from the water as possible, as the allerted coochie'qo will do anything to get at the pheromones, even going to far as propelling themselves onto land for it.
