Since arriving on Voltumnus, the Titanians have adopted a new calendar system, adapted from the standard one used in the Empire. Here is how they keep track of time.

Calendar Era

In Titania, the denotations BA and AT are used to denote calendar eras commonly. BA stands for "Before Arrival," and signifies the era before the colony ship landed on the planet. AT stands for "After Titania," the founding of the city, and signifies the current era.

Some scholars still use the Current Era year, which is exactly 5300 years ahead of the AT denotation.

Months

On Voltumnus, there are 13 months every year, with 28 days in each month. At the beginning of the year, New Year's Day exists independently of any month, and every fourth year, Cycle's Eve sits on the last day.

  • New Year's Day - Winter
  • Proserpina - Winter
  • Persefon - Spring
  • Idun - Spring
  • Ostara - Spring
  • Aestas - Summer
  • Demetia - Summer
  • Mahes - Summer
  • Paivatar - Summer
  • Consus - Autumn
  • Manisar - Autumn
  • Sif - Autumn
  • Colleda - Winter
  • Khione - Winter
  • Every Fourth Year, Cycle's Eve - Winter

Days

This, however, is one thing that has not changed on Voltumnus. The Titanians still recognize the standard seven day week.

  • Sunday
  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • Saturday

Lunar Cycles

The lunar cycles are well known in Titania, for their arcane importance. When the moon is full, magic is more powerful. When new, magic is weaker. And during the rare lunar eclipse, it ceases to work altogether.

  • Four days new
  • Ten days waxing
  • Four days full
  • Ten days waning

The pattern for 709 is as follows: Waning on the 28th-9th; new on the 10th-13th; waxing on the 14th-23rd; full on the 24th-27th.
