Apex Industries (AI) is a conglomerate of several businesses that formed around the original core company, Apex Material Design and Development (or AMDoD as it's usually called). AMDoD was a branch of Titania PolyDynamics that focused on investigating and developing new materials for construction, science, and etc. TPD was forced to sell it off in 701, and in the time since its owners have also obtained interests in commerical electronics and vehicle design, though AMDoD remains the crown jewel of the company. Now AI and TPD tend to compete in several fields.
