Skill Definition: Animal Handling is the ability to understand, and work with, animals. This includes both Terran animals and native Voltumnan creatures.

Common Uses: First and most obviously a useful skill for kodresh tamers and farmers, the animal handler is not a disrespected profession. Beyond their more mundane uses, a good handler is a necessity when one might encounter hostile wildlife. In some situations, an animal handler may even be able to placate a hostile beast, insuring safe passage.

Rule Information

Rule Notes: Animal Handling is rolled for any situation when an animal must be controlled, be it a previously domesticated animal or otherwise. The only exception is when riding a kodresh, in which case Kodresh Riding applies instead.
Common Modifiers: Animal Handling is typically rolled at 0 for previously domesticated animals. Controlling a wild animal will be rolled at at least a -1 modifier, depending on the hostility of the animal.
