Article: Not long after news of Vaston Stocklin's public announcement of resignation, Amera Isabelle Stocklin issued a reply from her office:

"While it is regrettable to hear of Luten Vaston's desire to resign both from House Stocklin and as the head of the Space Program, I respect his decision and hereby officially accept both resignations with well wishes for the now-former-Luten's future. My sincerest apologies for the circumstances that brought about this unfortunate occurance.

"However, it is not within the Space Program head's power to assign a successor. That responsibility falls solely to myself. As Amera of House Stocklin, I appoint Essen Naatie Stocklin as the new head of the Space Program, with the caveat of increased Ameral supervision until he has fully settled into his position and the project team has resumed more fluid operation."

The announcement has struck many by complete surprise, as past indications have clearly shown the Amera's favor to lean towards another member of the Space program team: Essen Lucille Stocklin. The appointment of a relative unknown to the position has led to wild speculation across the east side of the river, everything from a falling out between the Amera and her favorite Essen to a secret love affair, to rumors of opportunism in the face of the Amera's no-doubt difficult position.
