Alabear
From ElanVital
Also known as the fire-toad, the alabear is one of the stranger examples of native Voltumnan wildlife that are encountered by the Titanians with relatively high frequency.

Physical Description
A stout, blue-furred creature about six inches in length. It is shaped much life a frog, but with eyes located further onto its sides than what may be seen in many terrestrial amphibians, and is not slimy in the least. Small claws on its toes are what it uses for climbing.
Magical Properties
When threatened, the alabear shows where its nickname came from. Using fire magic, the creature is capable of shooting a stream of concentrated fire at an enemy. One blast does not tend to be enough to kill, and if an enemy does not keep up the attack, the fire-toad does not tend to be tenacious enough to chase them down.
Habitat
The alabear can be found just about anywhere the blue-trunked alawood tree grows, and derives its name from its habit of living on and in this tree. It is a vegetarian, and lives by eating the fruit that grow from the flowers at the tops of these trees, and carries the pollen that sticks to its fur this way from blossom to blossom.
Because alawood trees are often seen in Titania, the alabear is not an uncommon pest within the city.
Danger Level
Medium. The alabear only outright attacks on rare occasion, and rarely kills. It can, however, cause great injury, up to permanent blindness in an eye.
