Article: The following message was released by Amera Felix Petakova in response to yesterday's drastic events at the Court of Water, a happening which many are beginning to refer to by a single hushed sobriquet: the Miracle. It was both broadcast live and distributed in written form for the citizens of Petakova.

"Citizens of Titania, as you all know, we have been the beneficiaries of a perplexing salvation. I will not describe it in detail; surely by now, you've all heard the stories of what happened that night. My role in making this statement is only to serve as a voice of caution against the reckless demagoguery that has already begun to replace honest, rational discourse on this topic.

Were we delivered by a mechanism we do not understand? Certainly. Can we be sure that such deliverance implies centuries of callous indifference to our plight by the force that delivered us? Not necessarily. Can we be sure that said force was the White Lady at all? Not whatsoever.

Making inflammatory speeches that spread hate against a goddess worshiped by sixty percent of Petakova is not the path to progress. Nor is blind appeasement to what we think are this goddess's wishes, whatever evidence last night's events might offer for her reality. The path ahead should be guided by rational inquiry, focusing on discovering the truth of last night's events.

Were we saved by some divine force, then we must discover why it has not acted before now, instead of assuming malevolance and manipulation. We must discover what it wishes of us, and if its aid comes at a price we can pay. Most of all, we must not turn against each other because we were delivered from death.

Let us move forward into a new future of understanding, as allies on a shared path of scientific progress toward a safer world. I plead for all of Titania's politicians to reject bitter polemics in favor of an unbiased approach, one that makes no assumptions that cannot be substantiated by hard, solid fact. Only when we follow our logic instead of our emotions can we hope to understand what odds we truly face. United we shall stand, ever marching on."
